Cage Free Kitty Boarding
Dragonfly cats are not boarded in cages in the same areas as dogs such as your veterinarian or other area kennels might use. Our pet-friends are
quartered in a luxury cottage containing play and climbing perches and toys, comfy sleeping beds with extra large litter boxes - all within a
completely separate private cottage.
Our cattery Cottage is strictly for the convenience of our feline friends our brand new cattery cottage is now completely separate from our dog
cottage enclosure. We believe this is one of the most secure environments for our cats to stay in, especially for those "escape-artist" type cats.
Dragonfly features a quiet, cozy, cattery which allows for an easy adjustment for your feline friends in their new surroundings. Most cats in a new
environment, will hide under a bed or piece of furniture for a few days until they adjust to the change in their surroundings. Our cottage mimics
that type of environment with tall climbing towers and plenty of places to explore and play, wall perches and hide-in-me cardboard city for
additional fun and games. The cottage has sunny windows with perches for a view of the gardens and the outdoors. Each cat will have access to a
scratching toy house/tree, multiple wall perches, heated mats, individual litter trays along with individual food and water bowls.
Weather permitting our feline guest have the advantage of fresh air with access to a fully enclosed outside turfed atrium for bird-watching
and sunbathing. The Cottage is fully stocked with toys and comes with all the conveniences of home including a TV, comfy sleeping sofas, and a
library of books which may be and are knocked over by the cats as they play and explore, there is an in-wall aquarium for extra stimulation,
our feline friends receive play visits from caretakers and daily "alone time" to roam the cottage creating their "home away from home."
Kittens and cats will love spending time with us, your cat will always enjoy fun time in our "Kitty-Paradise" with nutritious meals, and quality
care while staying with us.
Your cat has a vacation paradise home away from home. We will attend to your cat's personal care, daily needs, housekeeping, nutritious meals,
all in their very private feline accommodation area. We also board many long term cats over the winter months while their owners get away
for a few months during the coldest times. We do provide long term rates for 30 days or more of boarding.
Dragonfly caretakers keep a tight schedule each and every day, thoroughly cleaning our cattery cottage in the morning and evening.
All beds, blankets, bowls, toys and litter pans are removed, washed and disinfected with anti-bacteria feline detergent
ensuring your pets are in a clean sanitary environment. We do everything in our power to ensure all our cats stay here is comfortable,
clean and secure as possible.
· We feed quality food to all cats that includes both dry food (for nibbling on during the day) and wet food (fed in the mornings only).
· Individual heat mats are available at no extra cost.
· Filtered Spring Water which is changed throughout the day.
· Special dietary requirements as directed by the owner.
· Fresh litter checked and changed daily.
· Large outdoor secure exercise atrium.
· Lots of pats, cuddles and kisses
· Medication administered, where required and requested attract an additional $2.50 per day fee

It is important that you bring a few extra things with you to make your cat’s stay less stressful:
An old T-shirt with your ‘scent' on it; grab one of your old shirts from the dirty laundry (I know it sounds gross but believe me your pet will
relish in it, it smells like you and this is comforting for them) or you can sleep in a clean T-shirt for a few days to get it smelling like you.
Home scents are very soothing for cats. Any special foods; we provide high quality food for all of our cats, but if your feline is on a special diet,
you should bring it with you.

Please place boarding request as far in advance as possible due to limited space.
Reservations are required for all our boarders Dragonfly Exotic Boarding facility is very popular. If you must cancel your reservation,
please do so at least 48 hours prior to the drop-off date.
Medication Policies:
Medications will be provided by the cat owner in the original container, appropriately labeled with the veterinary information and directions.
Dosages will not be changed from the veterinary instructions without written approval from the prescribing veterinary doctor/veterinary office.
There is a $2.50 administration fee for all medications prescribed by a veterinary doctor this fee is per administration, the exception to this fee
are vitamins and supplements that can be mixed in the food.

Dragonfly Exotic Boarding welcomes all healthy cats over 3 months of age.
Vaccinations: All cats must have current FVRCP and Rabies vaccines no less than 10 days or more than three years from the date of check in.
We require kittens to have completed a series of three vaccines before boarding. Adult cats should be vaccinated at one year of age
and thereafter every three years. Please provide proof of vaccine, which may be e-mailed to dragonflyboarding@gmail.com.
Elderly cats with adequate vaccine history may be boarded with a letter from their veterinarian excusing any additional vaccines.
The essential vaccinations for your pet are as follows:
Rabies, 1 or 3 year
FVRCP, 1 or 3 year
FeLV not required
All vaccination records must be from a licensed veterinarian.
Additionally, we require that you maintain a year-round treatment for ticks and fleas in order to protect our cottages from any contamination and
thus protect all of the pets. We recommend topical solutions such as Advantage and Frontline. These products are available over the counter or
from your veterinarian. We do not suggest collar prevention methods. Please talk to your veterinarian about your options and frequency of
treatment. Cats with unwanted additional pests will be treated and fees charged to the owner.
Because the ranch is our home, we do ask that you adhere to our business hours and respect our privacy. We appreciate and require our time
off also.
